Zurich North America is seeking a RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to operate from a home-based office covering Eastern Washington and North/Central Idaho. Expect a 40-hour work week with roughly 50% travel; travel within the territory is required and overtime may occur during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ months in agricultural area.
• CAPP certification must be obtained within 180 days of hire date.
• Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• RCIS Crop Adjuster physical requirements: walk fields, climb bins, lift 25–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections, read maps/photos, discuss crop loss with farmers on complex claims.
• Explain regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry personnel.
• Gather facts, document loss information, and determine indemnities.
• Perform fact-finding on crop damage and assist on CAT travel teams when needed.
• Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
• Travel within territory with short notice to adjust crops.
