Job summary

Zurich is hiring an RCIS Crop Claims Specialist or Crop Field Adjuster I to join our Rural Community Insurance Services team. The role supports claims across designated states with a focus on timely liability and coverage determinations.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 6+ months in agriculture, and CAPP certification within 180 days. Travel, field work, and strong communication are essential. We offer competitive pay and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6+ months of experience in the agricultural area.
• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire date.
• Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory.
• RCIS Crop Adjuster Physical Requirements: walk in fields up to 3 miles, climb bins up to 25 feet, lift 25–50 lbs, outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Exercise judgment to determine liability by gathering and analyzing relevant facts using applicable procedures.
• Determine policy verification and coverage by analyzing applicable coverage for claims and determining whether loss falls within coverage.
• Participate in Risk Management Agency reviews and referrals for operations integrity and quality assurance.
• Protect Zurich’s reputation by keeping claims information confidential.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by ongoing education and networking.
