InformData is seeking a Criminal Field Researcher for a remote role with DC eligibility. You will research public records to determine criminal/civil history and assist clients in validating identities, delivering reliable background checks to support safe decision-making.

The role emphasizes data integrity, adherence to TAT standards, and collaboration with field teams to ensure timely, accurate results.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of background screening processes and InformData products.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet turnaround time standards.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Effective written and verbal communication; team collaboration.
• Reliable transportation and access to a computer with high-speed internet.
• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
• Ability to work during courthouse hours and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Research public records and court indexes to retrieve relevant information.
• Enter results into proprietary systems, labeling as 'clear' or recording findings.
• Communicate scheduling issues or delays to the Supervisor promptly.
• Provide timely updates on issues affecting operations and commitments.
• Backup for other Field Researchers in the area as needed.
• Adhere to Quality and Turnaround Time (TAT) standards.
• Support court copy requests and related tasks.
• Conduct searches in surrounding areas or via online research.
• Possible participation in performance-based incentive program.
