Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Credentialing Account Manager to oversee end-to-end provider credentialing and payer enrollment for assigned clients in a fully remote role.

You will serve as the primary point of contact, ensure timely enrollments, maintain provider data, and collaborate with payers and internal teams to deliver an exceptional client experience.

This position emphasizes regulatory compliance, process improvement, and accurate documentation to support high-quality credentialing operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of healthcare credentialing, provider enrollment, or payer enrollment experience.
• Experience with commercial and government payers.
• Knowledge of provider lifecycle management and revalidation requirements.
• Familiarity with credentialing platforms (CAQH, PECOS, NPPES, Availity).
• Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for credentialing and payer enrollment activities for assigned clients.
• Manage end-to-end provider enrollment lifecycle including initial enrollments, revalidations, and updates.
• Coordinate with payers to facilitate timely enrollment and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate provider records, documentation, and case notes.
• Monitor account performance and provide status updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve enrollment issues and payer-related challenges.
• Ensure compliance with payer requirements and regulatory standards.
• Support process improvements across credentialing and enrollment functions.
