NorthBay Healthcare Group is seeking a Professional Surgical Coder who will translate procedures and diagnoses into ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for professional charges in outpatient and inpatient settings.

The role requires five+ years of pro-fee coding experience, including surgical coding, EMR/encoder familiarity, and strong knowledge of coding guidelines and reimbursement methodologies. Remote work is supported with strict productivity expectations.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional fee coding experience.
• Experience in surgical coding in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• EMR/encoder system experience required.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and Medicare guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Translate procedures and diagnoses into ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes accurately.
• Communicate with providers to query and educate on coding requirements.
• Ensure coding aligns with AAPC/AMA guidelines and hospital policies.
