Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to lead pre-contract cost management, budgeting, and cost planning for complex client developments. You will manage tender analysis, change control, and final accounts to ensure client value and best value from works undertaken.

The role offers remote work with travel to site as needed, a collaborative environment, and mentorship from senior leaders. Applicants from consultancy backgrounds are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Cost Manager, ideally from a consultancy background.
• Experience in pre-contract cost management with budget control, cost planning and change forms.
• Chartered status or on track to achieve chartered status.
• Degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the tender/bid process—from initial tender/bid documentation through analysis and reporting.
• Manage the change management process—identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing changes that affect project cost.
• Analyse tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
• Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including handling of any claims to ensure client value.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and communicate variations to the team.
• Support project management with cost documentation and timely communication.
• Support settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.
• Foster top performance and growth through mentorship and leadership.
