Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to lead and support project estimating across the project lifecycle. The role covers estimate planning, development, review, validation, and cost management.

It is a home-based position with up to 25% travel to job sites or meetings, ideally based in the Southeast, Green Bay, or Wichita. Responsibilities include leading estimating kickoff, collaborating with engineering and construction partners, aligning estimates with the work breakdown

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of project estimating experience in industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of cost build ups and engineering deliverables.
• Ability to assess estimating methodologies affecting quality.
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
• Travel up to 25% and collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall estimating process on projects including kickoff, alignment, and reviews.
• Collaborate with project teams and preferred partners.
• Ensure estimating structure aligns with WBS.
• Communicate risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor and improve project cost outcomes.
