Job description

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to lead and support project estimating across the project lifecycle. This role is responsible for estimate planning, support of estimate development, review, and validation, as well as supporting cost management, forecasting, and analysis.

Typical responsibilities include partnering with preferred engineering and construction firms to develop project cost estimates using proven industry practices; preparing conceptual estimates when design information is limited; developing detailed, bottom-up estimates for project authorization; identifying risks and value-improvement opportunities; assessing estimate quality; and validating estimates against internal and external data.
