Job summary

Border States is seeking a Cost Analyst to support cost management initiatives across open market categories. You will analyze costs, SPAs, and vendor pricing while coordinating with branch personnel to ensure market competitiveness and profitability.

The role involves data analytics, vendor negotiations, and applying SAP MM expertise to optimize pricing and costs across regions. A BS in supply chain or related field is preferred, with strong Excel and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• No minimum years of experience required; relevant procurement/sales/costing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM system; forecasting experience preferred.
• APICS certification or strong MRP/supply chain knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Office, and SAP software.

Responsibilities

• Review product categories/vendors by region to assess cost competitiveness.
• Engage branch personnel and stakeholders in category evaluations.
• Evaluate market conditions, vendor alignment, and strategies.
• Understand current cost structures including SPAs and pricing programs.
• Capture local market feedback to support analyses and pricing decisions.
• Negotiate pricing with vendors based on evaluations and SPA leverage.
• Document cost savings and opportunities from market analyses.
