Job summary

American Express Global Travel (Amex GBT) seeks a Corporate Travel Consultant to support a remote team delivering service to corporate clients. You will book domestic and international travel for air, rail, and hotels using GDS systems (Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo) and ensure policy compliance while offering proactive service.

The role requires strong customer service, communication skills, and a solid travel industry background.

Qualifications

• Native GDS expertise; Sabre preferred, Amadeus or Galileo also considered.
• Professional communication, written and verbal.
• Attention to detail in travel planning and data handling.
• Strong understanding of the travel industry (business/leisure/airline reservations).
• Exposure to After Hours for US, UK & Canada is a plus.
• Ability to resolve issues quickly and independently or with suppliers.
• Teamwork and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate customers (individuals and groups).
• Research travel options and anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services.
• Book domestic and international business travel across air, rail, and accommodations.
• Use GDS systems (Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo; training may be provided).
• Ensure compliance with travel polices and regulatory requirements.
• Provide courteous phone support and handle special requests from travelers.
• Collaborate within the team to coach, mentor and improve service levels.
