Job summary

CPS Inc. is seeking a Corporate Process Engineer to join a growing chemical manufacturer. The role can be remote from your current location or relocate to Atlanta, GA, with 33–40% travel to various plants.

You will develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, working with automation, engineering and safety teams to ensure change management and quality control standards are upheld.

Qualifications

• B.S., Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years engineering experience in a PSM regulated chemical manufacturing facility.
• Experience with distillation modeling and control.
• Strong background of continuously improving process capabilities.
• Knowledge of process simulation software (Aspen).
• Ability to work with multiple plant personnel at all levels.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt training/certification ideal.

Responsibilities

• Maintain systems to ensure quality of raw materials and finished products.
• Provide support for chemistry/quality related manufacturing issues.
• Act as liaison between R&T, Technical Service, Marketing & Sales, and Production.
• Monitor and improve plant efficiency and output to meet supply requirements.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Planning.
