Job summary

Arclin is seeking a Corporate Process Engineer for PP & FS. This full-time role supports both batch and continuous manufacturing with emphasis on web handling, solids handling, and polymer processing. The position may be remote with travel up to 30–50% and reports to the Process Engineering Manager – PP&FS.

The engineer collaborates with site engineering, controls, maintenance, safety, and R&T to ensure safe, reliable operations and uniform engineering standards across the network.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in chemical manufacturing.
• Experience with batch and continuous processing operations.
• Working knowledge of web handling, polymer processing, and related unit operations.
• Experience in or with PSM-regulated facilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain systems to ensure consistent material quality across chemical processing operations.
• Act as liaison between R&T, Technical Service, Marketing & Sales, and Manufacturing to support improvements and scale-up.
• Monitor and improve plant efficiency, throughput, yield, and reliability to meet objectives.
• Provide technical guidance to Site Process Engineers on unit operations and equipment performance.
• Collaborate on capital and expense project analyses, including cost estimates and life-cycle analysis.
• Apply mass and energy balance concepts to process and equipment design including web, polymer, and extrusion operations.
• Promote consistent application of Process Safety Management principles and documentation.
• Lead or support Root Cause Analysis and CAPA related to process upsets and safety incidents.
