Job summary

Calculated Hire is seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Actions Notification Specialist for a 12-month contract in Toronto. The role focuses on delivering accurate and timely information on dividends, splits, mergers, and other market events to clients, advisors, and internal partners.

You will track deadlines, validate notices, and coordinate with operations, settlements, and tax teams to minimize risk. A strong emphasis on accuracy, communication, and issue escalation is required to succeed in

Qualifications

• Ability to manage time-sensitive deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication for notifications and stakeholder collaboration.
• Comfort reviewing security details and operational instructions.

Responsibilities

• Review corporate action announcements from internal systems and approved sources.
• Prepare, validate, and distribute accurate corporate action notifications to clients and internal teams.
• Track event dates, deadlines, payment dates, and election windows.
• Coordinate collection and routing of client or advisor instructions for voluntary events.
• Maintain records of notices sent, responses, and follow-up actions.
• Escalate high-risk or time-sensitive issues to management.
• Coordinate with operations, settlements, tax, compliance and other groups.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between sources and records.
• Support post-event follow-up and reconciliation as needed.
• Follow procedures to reduce operational risk and ensure consistency.
• Monitor notices and determine which require communication or action.
• Follow up on missing or incomplete responses, especially near deadlines.
• Investigate questions from advisors and internal partners about events.
• Assist with daily reporting, work queues, and deadline management.
