Job summary

Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking an entry-level Operations Specialist in Corporate Actions to support accurate processing of events like dividends, mergers, and stock splits. The role emphasizes attention to detail, learning, and working in a fast-paced financial services environment.

The candidate will assist with notifications, elections, entitlements, and reporting while adhering to regulatory requirements and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in financial services; internship experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of financial markets and common securities.
• Familiarity with the corporate actions lifecycle; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Identify, validate, and process mandatory and voluntary corporate action events.
• Distribute corporate action notifications to internal stakeholders and clients; respond to inquiries.
• Support daily reconciliation of corporate action positions and entitlements.
• Collect and submit client elections for voluntary corporate actions within deadlines.
• Assist with calculating and verifying cash and stock entitlements.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies; assist audits as needed.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate processing errors to mitigate risk.
• Prepare and maintain reports on corporate action events and status.
