Job summary

Janney Montgomery Scott LLC is seeking a Corporate Actions Associate to support accurate and timely processing of corporate action events across a range of financial instruments. You will review and process dividends, mergers, spin-offs, tender offers, rights offerings, income, redemption and call events, and proxies for domestic and international securities.

The role requires strong attention to detail, risk awareness and the ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced operations

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field.
1–3 years of securities operations experience is preferred.
Basic understanding of equity and fixed income securities is preferred.
Experience with DTCC, JPM, BNY or similar custody and processing platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

Process Corporate Actions: review and process corporate action events for domestic and international securities.
Event Notification & Research: validate event details and disseminate information to internal stakeholders.
Reconciliation & Controls: daily reconciliations; research discrepancies and elevate issues.
Break Resolution: research and resolve position, entitlement and cash breaks across systems.
Client Instructions: monitor deadlines and process elections per event terms.
