Job summary

Apex Fintech Solutions, based in Dallas with offices in multiple cities, is seeking an entry-level Operations Specialist in Corporate Actions. You will support processing of dividends, mergers, stock splits, spin-offs, and tender offers, ensuring accurate handling and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in financial services; internship in operations, corporate actions, or securities processing is a plus.
• Basic understanding of financial markets and common types of securities (equities, fixed income, mutual funds).
• Familiarity with the corporate actions lifecycle is a plus but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Corporate Actions Processing: Assist in identifying, validating, and processing mandatory and voluntary corporate action events, ensuring accurate and timely completion across client accounts.
• Notification & Communication: Distribute corporate action notifications to internal stakeholders and clients; respond to inquiries regarding upcoming or in-progress events.
• Reconciliation: Support daily reconciliation of corporate action positions and entitlements against custodian and depository records to ensure data accuracy.
• Election Processing: Collect and submit client elections for voluntary corporate actions within required deadlines.
• Entitlement Calculations: Assist with calculating and verifying cash and stock entitlements resulting from corporate action events.
• Compliance & Controls: Adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies; support audit and regulatory inquiries as needed.
• Issue Resolution: Identify and elevate discrepancies, missing elections, or processing errors to mitigate risk.
• Reporting: Prepare and maintain reports on corporate action events, processing status, and outstanding items.
