Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Technical Trainer to deliver training on HVACR residential and commercial electronics across customers, contractors, wholesalers, end users, OEMs and employees. You will develop courses, ensure learning objectives are met, and stay current with industry and technology trends.

The role requires five years in HVACR, strong presentation and communication skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Five years of HVACR industry experience
• Experience with residential controls and components
• Ability to travel 60-70%
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills
• Customer service orientation
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; mobile devices
• Team-oriented and collaborative work style
• US work authorization (no sponsorship)

Responsibilities

• Deliver all curricula using instructor-led, electronic/web-based, and/or multimedia training methods and formats
• Conduct standard and custom classes per customer requirements
• Follow adult learning pedagogy and adjust learning objectives as needed
• Coordinate development of course material to cover learning objectives
• Evaluate training materials for improvements
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technologies in the curricula
• Participate in engineering and product planning sessions
• Engage in HVACR forums to ensure accuracy of information
• Coach and mentor junior training staff and serve as lead trainer at events
