Job summary

GAF is seeking a Corporate Automation and Controls Engineer IV to provide technical direction for control systems across production facilities. This role emphasizes engineering mastery, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration, with 60% travel and remote work within the U.S.

You will troubleshoot production line electrical issues, mentor plant controls personnel, and help define technical standards while delivering high-impact solutions in a continuous manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of controls engineering in a continuous manufacturing environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship.
• Proficiency with Rockwell software and Allen-Bradley hardware.
• Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary internal resource for control systems across plants.
• Lead and coordinate strategic projects spanning multiple plants.
• Provide troubleshooting support for production lines both remotely and on-site.
• Mentor and train plant controls personnel to strengthen skills.
• Develop and enforce controls standards and best practices.
