Job summary

Out of the Box Technology is seeking a Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. Reporting to the CFO, you will ensure accuracy of financial information and provide strategic insights to support growth.

You will oversee accounting systems, drive process improvements, and mentor the finance team to enhance organizational capability. This remote role requires strong leadership and GAAP expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting/finance leadership experience.
• Experience with GAAP and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions (GL, AP, AR, payroll, cash management).
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closes and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for CFO and exec team.
• Implement and maintain GAAP-compliant policies and procedures.
• Lead budgeting, forecasts and financial models with the CFO.
• Manage audits, tax filings, and compliance workflows.
