Zusammenfassung

Trust & Will, a remote-first digital estate planning platform, seeks a Controller to lead accounting across the company and subsidiaries. You will own the month-end close, tax compliance, and the accounting tech stack, while building scalable controls to support rapid growth.

You will partner with the CFO and FP&A to analyze costs, drive automation, and manage vendor relationships. A CPA and big 4/startup experience are highly valued.

Qualifikationen

• Ten+ years of accounting experience with at least 4–5 years in a Controller or similar leadership role, CPA preferred.
• Proven track record in financial reporting, compliance, and implementing financial controls.
• Hands-on experience applying AI or automation to accounting workflows.
• Experience designing internal controls for automated or AI-assisted processes.
• Familiarity with Ramp and Rillet as well as Google Sheets & Excel.
• Experience managing and developing direct reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with non-finance stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Own accounting at Trust & Will and its subsidiaries, manage month-end closing, tax compliance, and AR/AP.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and scale operations.
• Lead audits and reconciliations for accuracy.
• Manage and optimize the accounting tech stack; work with FP&A to keep systems integrated.
• Partner with CFO on cost analysis and financial planning; identify optimization opportunities.
• Oversee vendor relationships and ensure policy compliance.
