Airgas, Inc. in Independence, OH is seeking a Control Board Operator to remotely monitor and operate air separation and gas processing equipment from a central control room.

You will troubleshoot plant systems, follow SOPs, and support field technicians during outages and startups. The role requires a high school diploma or technical training with 5+ years of control-board experience in an industrial plant, familiarity with DCS/SCADA/HMI/PLC interfaces, and a commitment to safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 5+ years of control board experience in an industrial plant.
• Two-year technical college degree or military technical experience preferred.
• Experience with DCS/SCADA/HMI/PLC interfaces and electrical/instrumentation troubleshooting.
• Air Separation or Cryogenic plant experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remotely monitors and operates production facilities using DCS/SCADA/HMI/PLC to control flow, purities and pressures.
• Diagnoses and resolves plant alerts, alarms, and malfunctions in mechanical, instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Maintains documentation of incidents and readings; supports field technicians during outages and startups.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and safety, including OSHA/EPA requirements.
