Airgas is hiring a Control Board Operator in Independence, OH to remotely operate air separation and related systems from a central site. You will monitor equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with engineers to maintain continuous supply across sites.

The role requires 5+ years of control-board experience, knowledge of DCS/SCADA/HMI/PLC interfaces, and strong problem-solving skills. Rotating 12-hour shifts, scheduled days/nights with limited travel, and comprehensive benefits are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with relevant plant experience.
• Two-year technical college degree or military technical training preferred.
• Experience with DCS/SCADA/HMI/PLC interfaces and electrical or instrumentation troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Remotely monitors and maintains safe operation of production facilities using DCS/SCADA/HMI/PLC systems.
• Adjust operating modes per engineers' recommendations to optimize production.
• Collaborate with logistics to meet supply needs and manage inventory.
• Safely execute emergency protocols and escalate issues as needed.
• Provide on-site support for startups, outages, and training when required.
• Maintain thorough documentation of incidents, readings, and communications.
