Job summary

Merck is seeking a Contract Specialist to ensure performance and compliance for assigned Clinical Research contracts under ICH/GCP and country regulations. You will prepare, analyze, and negotiate site agreements and related budgets across the contract cycle, coordinating with CRM, CRA, and finance teams to meet timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher required.
  • 3+ years of experience in negotiating contracts or budgets.
  • JD degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, negotiate, and execute site agreements and budgets including CTRA, MCTRA, CDA, MCDA, IRAG, MFS, FUA, Reimbursement Letters, Amendments and Assignments.
  • Utilize fallback language and budget parameters; elevate site-specific issues for review.
  • Maintain database and files for contracts, approvals, and budgets with consistent naming conventions.
  • Lead document and metric tracking to ensure timely execution of site agreements.
  • Perform quality control checks of agreements prior to execution.
  • Collaborate with CRM, CTC, CRA, COM-R, and finance to deliver Site Ready Deliverables and mitigate risks.
