Job summary

EdReports is seeking a Contract Writing Editor to provide approximately 25 hours of substantive and technical editorial support for the Multilingual Learner (MLL) Early Math tools and resources.

The Editor will strengthen clarity, organization, readability, and accessibility while preserving the technical meaning and the integrity of evidence statements, criteria, and scoring guidance. This is a remote contract through Oct–Nov 2026 with a $100/hour rate.

Qualifications

• Proven editing of complex educational or technical content.
• Experience with substantive/developmental editing and copyediting.
• Strong command of English grammar and editorial conventions.

Responsibilities

• Review prioritized materials for issues with organization and clarity.
• Substantively edit content to improve sequencing and transitions.
• Edit for clarity while preserving technical meaning.
• Preserve fidelity of evidence statements and criteria.
• Document questions requiring SME review.
