Job summary

TransPerfect Language & Cultural Training is seeking experienced linguists to adapt school mathematics textbooks for ESL students from Grade 2 to Grade 8, simplifying the English text for clarity and understanding.

Responsibilities include reviewing learner content, updating textbook language per guidelines, and exchanging with the client’s editorial team using tracked changes in Word; this is a freelance remote role for the EMEA region.

Qualifications

• Native or native proficiency in English.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching English to young learners.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with content development and/or language adaptation.

Responsibilities

• Review existing learner’s book and work book content.
• Suggest updates to the textbook language using guidelines provided.
• Exchange with client’s editorial team via Word documents with tracked change.
