Job summary

Redwire Space Missions LLC is seeking a Contractor – Software Engineer (all levels) to design, develop, integrate, and test software for spacecraft avionics and mission systems. You will own software modules throughout their lifecycle, from requirements to delivery, and work with systems, electrical, and test teams to ensure reliable flight and ground software for mission success.

This remote role may require onsite participation for milestone reviews and tests; candidates should be US citizens

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, CS or related field.
• 5+ years in designing software for high reliability embedded systems.
• Experience with NASA Core Flight System and OpenC3/Cosmos.
• Familiarity with spacecraft interfaces (MIL-STD-1553, CAN, SpaceWire, RS-422, Ethernet).
• Experience with Git, SVN, JIRA, Confluence.
• Strong OS fundamentals and C/C++, Ubuntu, RHEL, .NET.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test software for spacecraft avionics and mission systems.
• Own software modules through requirements, architecture, coding, and delivery.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, and test teams for reliable flight and ground software.
• Create software test procedures and test suites for unit and system tests.
• Draft and release software documentation and interface specifications.
