Job summary

Cohere, a leading security-first enterprise AI company, seeks a Contract Manager to scale contract operations for a fast-paced growth environment. You will partner with Legal, Sales, Product and Finance to streamline processes, manage templates, and maintain contract repositories while ensuring compliance and timely renewals.

Remote (US/Canada) role offering a comprehensive compensation package and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of contract management experience, preferably in a fast-paced tech/AI company.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple contracts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
• Practical, business‑oriented mindset balancing legal requirements with business needs.
• Proficiency with contract management software, specifically Ironclad, including workflows and templates.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google productivity tools.
• Familiarity with NDAs, MSAs, and procurement contracts.
• Familiarity with AI industry contracts is a plus.
• Experience implementing or optimizing contract management processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for contract-related requests not requiring legal counsel.
• Triage legal requests and route to appropriate counsel as needed.
• Manage and maintain contract documents and repositories with proper organization.
• Monitor contract milestones, renewals, and expirations; provide proactive reminders.
• Oversee contract lifecycle from initiation to execution, including drafting and approvals.
• Develop and optimize contract management processes and workflows to scale operations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product and Finance to align terms with business needs.
• Assist with contract administration, data entry and preparation of materials.
• Create and maintain contract templates, playbooks and SOPs.
• Analyze contract data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Assist with reporting on contracts.
