Job summary

Cohere is seeking a Contract Manager to scale contract operations across the legal, sales, product, and finance teams. The role focuses on efficient contract lifecycle management, template creation, and process improvements to support rapid growth.

Remote-friendly with global office presence, including San Francisco. You will manage standard agreements (NDAs, MSAs, procurement), monitor milestones, and help optimize workflows while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of contract management experience in tech or AI environments
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for standard contract requests
• Triage legal requests and route to counsel as needed
• Manage contract databases and document repositories
• Monitor renewals, expirations, and milestones; provide proactive alerts
• Oversee end-to-end contract lifecycle from initiation to execution
• Develop efficient contract processes and workflows
• Collaborate with Sales, Product and Finance on contract terms
• Support contract administration and data entry; prepare materials
• Create and maintain templates, playbooks, and SOPs
• Analyze contract data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Assist with reporting on contracts
