Job summary

Segra is seeking a qualified Construction Technician for the Clarksburg/Fairmont/Morgantown WV market. The role focuses on supervising field construction contractors, planning activities, and ensuring timely, quality completion of projects across multiple sites.

The CT reports to the Construction/Project Manager and participates in a 24x7 on-call rotation. Ideal candidates have 2 years of relevant construction experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Excel/Word/Outlook.

Qualifications

• 2 years of fiber, telecommunications, ROW, or relevant construction experience.
• Ability to lead a crew to completion in conformance with schedule, customer requirements and budget guidelines.
• Excellent understanding of construction and permitting prints.
• Assist in monitoring and reporting inventory/material usage during construction cycle.
• Assist with identification and troubleshooting of construction problems and offer timely and safe solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good planning and organization skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Some travel will be expected, both overnight and daily travel
• Basic experience using Microsoft Excel formulations, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities on worksites and supervise field contractors.
• Plan, implement, and oversee construction at several sites within the designated market.
• Report field progress to Construction/Project Manager to meet timelines and standards.
• Ensure quality and adherence to company standards throughout the construction cycle.
• Be on 24x7 on-call rotation as required.
