Job summary

Segra is seeking a qualified Construction Technician to oversee field construction activities and supervise contractors across multiple sites. The role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

The position is onsite five days a week and includes on-call rotation. A high school diploma is required, with at least two years in fiber/telecom/ROW construction and familiarity with permits and prints.

Qualifications

• 2 years of fiber/telecom/ROW construction experience.
• Ability to lead a crew to meet schedule and budget requirements.
• Strong understanding of construction and permitting prints.
• Assist in monitoring inventory usage during construction cycles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good planning and organization to balance and prioritize work.
• Some travel will be expected, overnight and daily.
• Basic experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities on the worksite and supervise contractors in the field.
• Plan, implement, and oversee construction efforts at multiple sites in the designated market.
• Report field progress to Construction/Project Manager to meet timeline parameters.
• Ensure quality of construction activities and adherence to company standards.
• Be part of 24x7 on-call rotation.
