Job summary

Segra is seeking a qualified Construction Technician to oversee on-site construction activities and supervise contractors in the Clarksburg/Fairmont/Morgantown WV market. The role supports planning, coordinating, and delivering multiple sites within the assigned market.

The Construction Technician reports progress to the Construction Manager or Project Manager, ensuring projects meet timelines and budgets while upholding Segra's quality standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• 2 years of fiber, Telecommunications, ROW, or relevant construction experience.
• Ability to effectively lead a crew to the completion of and in conformance with schedule, customer requirements and budget guidelines.
• Excellent understanding of construction and permitting prints.
• Assist in monitoring and reporting inventory/material usage during construction cycle.
• Assist with the identification and troubleshooting of construction problems and offer timely and safe solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good planning and organization skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Some travel will be expected, both overnight and daily travel.
• Basic experience using Microsoft Excel formulations, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities on the worksite.
• Supervise construction contractors in the field.
• Plan, implement, and oversee construction efforts at several work sites within the designated market.
• Report field progress to the Construction Manager and/or Project Manager to ensure timelines.
• Ensure quality of construction activities and adherence to company standards.
• Be on call 24x7 on a rotating basis.
