Job summary

Pete Fowler Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a Technical Consultant to assist our Testifying Experts in delivering fast, cost-effective solutions for building problems.

The role emphasizes inspecting structures, documenting findings, and analyzing construction documents with a focus on clarity and verifiability. The ideal candidate will have extensive construction experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work remotely with preference to South Texas.

Qualifications

• 10 years of construction experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and architectural drawings.
• Excellent organization, planning, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Ability to think critically and communicate actionable information and recommendations.
• Ability to perform onsite inspections (physical requirements).
• Proficient in MS Word/Excel/Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and Internet Research Tools.
• Architectural or engineering registration, licenses, and/or inspection certification(s) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend site investigations to inspect structures and conditions.
• Document with photographs, notes, diagrams and checklists; prepare inspection summaries.
• Review, analyze, summarize construction documents and legal documents.
• Conduct research on building codes, standards of care, and best practices.
• Organize analyses using company systems and prepare client deliverables.
• Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates and cost analyses.
• Present site observations and analyses to Technical Experts; prepare reports.
• Attend meetings with clients and document actions.
• Track time billed to clients and maintain billable targets.
• Collaborate with management on quarterly professional development goals.
