Job summary

Ameren Missouri is seeking a Construction Services Supervisor to oversee vendor-based electric and civil construction crews remotely, ensuring safety and policy compliance while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

The role requires strong leadership, project planning, and contractor management, with a background in engineering or construction management and at least five years of experience in electric transmission or heavy industry; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in electric transmission or distribution, or heavy industrial/military environments with supervisory experience.
• Journeyman line or journeyman substation experience preferred.
• Experience with contractor leadership and safety oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to project planning and design.
• Manage contractor crews engaged in construction, maintenance, and inspection of the electric system.
• Set clear safety and quality expectations through observations and audits.
• Maintain regular contact with contractor supervision to assess manpower and material needs.
• Schedule and manage work to meet contracts and budgets.
• Monitor budgets and timelines and document scope changes.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, external stakeholders and other departments.
• Enforce safety rules and corporate policies with contractor crews.
