Job summary

Ameren Services is seeking an Engineering and Construction Supervisor to manage transmission project construction with contractor personnel. You will oversee field operations, safety, and quality on multiple projects up to $20 million, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements include a Bachelor of Science in Engineering; PE license preferred; 7+ years in project construction or leadership; willingness to work out of town and overtime during storms or critical periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer License preferred.
• Seven+ years of project construction or project leadership experience required.
• Supervisory or contractor leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite field management and coordination for electric Transmission projects.
• Manage 20 to 100+ contractor personnel for construction contracts up to $20 million.
• Provide mentorship to Construction Engineer.
• Initiate and evaluate jobsite safety and quality control procedures; perform audits.
• Maintain day-to-day surveillance of construction activities and ensure contractor compliance.
• Facilitate progress meetings; document reports and resolve safety, cost, or schedule issues.
• Provide constructability review of specifications and drawings for efficient material use.
• Assist the Project Manager with developing the critical path schedule.
• Assess project requirements including materials, access, restoration, and security.
• Administer WPA, OSHA and environmental regulations and Ameren procedures.
• Public relations and liaison between parties as required.
