Job summary

Ameren Missouri is hiring a Contractor Services Supervisor to oversee vendor-based electric and civil construction crews, ensuring adherence to contracts, safety rules, and quality standards. The role includes planning input, budgeting, and coordination with customers and internal teams.

The position requires 5+ years in electric transmission/distribution or equivalent heavy industry, with supervisory experience and preferred journeyman qualifications. Travel and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or construction management related discipline preferred
• Five or more years of relevant experience in electric transmission or electric distribution required, OR five+ years in heavy industrial/military with supervisor role
• Journeyman line or journeyman substation experience preferred
• Utility experience preferred
• Supervisory or contractor leadership experience preferred
• Experience with Renewable Development projects preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide input to project planning and design
• Manage and evaluate contractor crews engaged in construction, maintenance and inspection
• Provide clear expectations for contractor performance including safety and quality
• Maintain regular contact with contractor supervisory personnel to assess manpower and resources
• Schedule, assign, and manage work safely, efficiently, and effectively
• Monitor and control project budget and schedules to ensure timely completion
• Provide budgetary cost tracking and construction timelines
• Document project scope changes and provide updates to the project team
• Coordinate activities with customers, contractors, external stakeholders and other departments
• Enforce WPA and safety rules and conduct Safety Observations
• Enforce corporate policies with contractor crews
• Contribute to department goals and improvements in operations
• Identify and implement improvements to control costs and improve productivity and quality
