Job summary

CMC is seeking a construction project manager to oversee large-scale reinforcement projects. The role involves guiding projects from proposal through closeout, ensuring budget adherence, timely execution, safety, and profitability.

The incumbent will collaborate with sales, detailing, operations, and site teams, with travel to sites as required. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction management, strong cost control, and proven negotiation and scheduling skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing large construction projects.
• Rebar, concrete and general contracting experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong cost control, financial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review project proposals and plans to determine time frame and procedures.
• Oversee project direction, finances, and profitability from budget to closeout.
• Resolve daily issues to ensure timely, safe, and profitable projects.
• Review contracts and specifications to resolve conflicts.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and constructability constraints.
• Prepare reports for management and customers; manage change orders.
• Coordinate with internal teams and travel to project sites as needed.
