Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Construction Defect Claims Associate to support Examiners in investigation, evaluation and management of construction defect claims. You will work with defense counsel to summarize legal and coverage documents, coordinate letters, and assist with complex claim administration.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of Texas construction defect law, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Examiners with day-to-day management and administration of construction defect claims.
• Review and summarize defense reports and coverage documents for the claim file.
• Coordinate coverage letters and correspondence on approved matter.
• Support claim strategy discussions with counsel and Examiners.
• Attend mediations when requested and provide preparation support.
