Job summary

Vanguard Claims Administration, LLC (VCA) is seeking an experienced Liability Examiner Supervisor to oversee the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of complex liability and construction defect claims, including litigation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations. The ideal candidate will provide strong technical guidance, lead and develop a team, manage complex claim matters, and build trusted relationships with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.

Location Headquarters- Remote.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5+ years of liability claims experience with complex liability, construction defect, and/or litigation claims.
• Experience supervising or leading a claims team.
• Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance, coverage analysis, tort law, and negligence standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee handling of complex liability and general liability claims from inception to resolution.
• Provide technical direction on investigations, liability exposure, coverage issues, and claim strategy.
• Review complex coverage issues, contracts, and multi-party claims; coordinate with legal counsel for litigation/arbitration.
• Review and approve settlement recommendations and claims reports.
• Monitor expenses, reserves, and financial transactions; ensure documentation and compliance.
