Job summary

Fisher Phillips is seeking an experienced Conflicts Attorney for our New Business Intake team. The role targets candidates with direct law-firm conflicts experience to assess and resolve conflicts relating to new business, lateral hires, and RFPs.

Based on the East or West Coast US, the position is fully remote as part of a coverage program for local business hours. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in conflicts analysis and strong ethics knowledge.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on conflicts experience in a law firm.
• Deep knowledge of conflicts of interest rules, legal ethics, and professional responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex conflict reports and identify potential conflict of interest issues with new business, hires, and RFPs.
• Research jurisdictional conflicts and ethical rules to aid in determining resolution strategies.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals and staff to gather information for conflict analysis.
• Independently analyze and resolve conflicts and draft clear communications with recommendations.
• Draft consents and conflicts waivers compliant with ethical standards.
• Maintain and update conflicts database and assist in policy development.
