Job summary

Engage PEO is seeking a Compliance Paralegal to support our in-house HR Consultants and Legal Department with regulatory compliance across states, ESAC, and IRS. The role involves preparing legal documents, filing IRS CPEO 8973 forms, and assisting with client onboarding/terminations and licensing processes.

The position emphasizes timely reporting, contract reviews, investigations, and collaboration with the General Counsel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
Professional Employer Organization (PEO) experience is a plus.
Proficient with MS Office and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Prepares and assists with legal documents for attorneys as directed.
Prepares IRS CPEO 8973 forms for new clients, terminating clients, and quarterly updates.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of client addition/termination reporting to state regulatory agencies, ESAC and IRS.
Assist the Legal Department with license renewals promptly; manage administration of state licensing folders.
Assist the Associate General Counsel and VP of Compliance with client termination processes, including contract reviews, investigations, and client notifications; provide weekly reports on compliance.
