Job summary

Lodestar Claims & Risk Services, Inc. seeks an experienced paralegal to support regulatory compliance, state licensing, corporate registrations, and related legal operations.

This role helps maintain timely filings across multiple jurisdictions, monitors regulatory developments, and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in corporate licensing and regulatory compliance, strong research skills, and experience with multi-state filings, notary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in corporate licensing, regulatory compliance, or legal operations.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to licensing.
• Experience with multi-state licensing, registrations, renewals and filings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file documents for licenses and renewals across states.
• Maintain calendar and records for licensing and annual reports.
• Research statutes, regulations and filing instructions; identify changes.
• Monitor regulatory notices and distribute information to stakeholders.
• Coordinate corporate registrations and financial documents for filings.
• Assist attorneys and business partners with licensing inquiries and responses.
• Maintain state-by-state records, including contacts and submission evidence.
• Coordinate with regulators, agents and service providers to resolve issues.
• Act as notary when required and coordinate signatures.
• Improve process documentation and state matrices.
• Support special regulatory projects and system enhancements.
• Provide compliance expertise to business partners and ensure controls.
• Participate in enterprise initiatives and geographic expansion efforts.
• Develop policies and procedures to strengthen compliance and efficiency.
• Maintain expertise in regulatory requirements and reporting obligations.
• Promote culture of compliance and ethics.
