Job summary

Lodestar Claims & Risk Services, Inc. seeks an experienced paralegal to support regulatory compliance, state licensing, and corporate registrations across multiple jurisdictions.

You will help maintain accurate filings, monitor regulatory developments, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to minimize compliance risk. The role requires a bachelor’s in a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience, familiarity with NIPR and SOS portals, and notary status or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, risk management, paralegal studies, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in corporate licensing, regulatory compliance, paralegal services, corporate governance, or legal operations.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws affecting licensing and compliance, including Medicare and Section 111 reporting.
• Experience with multi-state licensing, registrations, renewals, and corporate filings, including familiarity with NIPR and Secretary of State portals.
• Notary commission preferred, or willingness and eligibility to obtain and maintain a commission.
• Strong written and verbal communication, proofreading, organizational, customer service, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently within a matrixed organization and drive unresolved matters to completion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file documents required to obtain and maintain licenses across states.
• Maintain calendar, diary, and records for licensing and annual reports.
• Research statutes, regulations, and filing instructions; route questions to stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory notices and distribute relevant information to internal teams.
• Assist attorneys and business partners with licensing inquiries and regulatory responses.
• Maintain complete state-by-state records and filing status.
