Job summary

Post University is seeking a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to advise institutional stakeholders on contracts, compliance, and regulatory matters. This remote role involves drafting and negotiating complex agreements, with limited travel and supervision by University Counsel.

The role requires a JD, Connecticut house counsel status, and strong legal research and drafting capabilities to support in-person and online education programs while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited US law school.
• Attaining approved house counsel status in Connecticut is required.
• Strong critical thinking and excellent legal analysis skills.
• Interest in developing expertise in contract review and key contractual provisions.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates a variety of agreements including vendor and technology agreements, strategic partnerships and data privacy/security matters.
• Reviews outgoing group student communications to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and best practices.
• Provides legal advice relating to ethical operations and compliance.
• Assists with international compliance for our growing international student population.
• Supports with privacy, GLBA, GDPR, NCAA, FERPA, TCPA, Title VI, and marketing compliance as needed.
• Performs legal research and develops resource material for educational outreach within the institution.
