Job summary

Alera Group in the United States is seeking a Compensation Consultant to design and implement scalable compensation programs for a national organization. Reporting to the Vice President of Compensation, you will lead initiatives from discovery to implementation, shaping career paths, job architecture, and pay practices across the enterprise.

This is a remote, full-time role with significant cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in broad-based compensation, job architecture, compensation consulting or related field.
• Independently designed and implemented compensation solutions in a complex organization.
• Strong knowledge of market pricing, salary structures and internal equity.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; CPP designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead complex compensation projects from discovery through implementation.
• Develop career paths, job levels and progression frameworks, aligning roles with salary ranges.
• Facilitate sessions with leaders and HR partners to clarify needs and decisions.
• Research market practices and analyze data to inform recommendations.
• Translate designs into clear requirements and supporting processes with cross-functional teams.
