UMB Bank is seeking a Community Mortgage Banker to serve the credit needs of low to moderate income families within the UMB footprint in a remote, full-time capacity. The role reports to the Director of Community Development and collaborates with the National Mortgage Sales Manager to promote financial education and homeownership.

You will represent UMB at community events, build referral networks, pre-qualify buyers, and originate first mortgage loans while ensuring compliance with FHA, VA, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years mortgage and banking experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Extensive FHA/VA/CONV guideline knowledge.
• Active NMLS and S.A.F.E. registrations.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• Knowledge of local real estate markets.

Responsabilités

• Represent UMB at community events and business development functions.
• Promote financial awareness and identify community needs.
• Establish referral relationships with community orgs, agents, and customers.
• Pre-qualify buyers and explain rate, terms, and mortgage insurance.
• Structure and originate first mortgage loans meeting regs and policy.
• Provide product recommendations based on community feedback.
