Job summary

Udacity, an Accenture company, is seeking Community Moderators to support scholarship communities. Responsibilities include monitoring forums daily, addressing violations, and maintaining a healthy, engaging online space for learners.

The role requires the ability to work mornings and evenings, across weekends, and to collaborate with the Community Manager on initiatives to boost member engagement. Remote, part-time, contractor arrangement possible.

Qualifications

• Residence in UAE (from the HTML)
• Udacity course / Nanodegree graduate is a plus
• Knowledge of Udacity services, audience and community culture
• Ability to communicate information and report when needed
• Availability to work across days, evenings and weekends
• Proactive approach and strong organizational skills
• Understanding of online community platforms (forums, content mgmt, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Providing students with non-technical support within the community
• Organizing and maintaining the online platform: handling violation posts and ensuring guidelines are followed
• Supporting forum activities and brainstorming with the Community Manager on engagement
• Attending regular online meetings with Udacity representatives
• Being responsive in group discussions with Udacity representatives
• Ensuring all members have a fun and engaging learning environment
