Job summary

Native Governance Center is seeking a Communications & Advancement Specialist to develop and coordinate culturally grounded communications that advance our mission. You’ll manage content across channels, support donor campaigns, and ensure brand consistency while collaborating with leadership.

The role requires remote-first work with some travel and potential hybrid opportunities; you will report to the Director of Advancement and Strategy and contribute to engagement across Tribal Nations and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, or related field.
• Minimum three years of professional communications, marketing, fundraising, or related experience.
• Experience creating, posting, monitoring, and managing social media content.
• Experience with graphic design using Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating communications campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Generate and manage organizational communications across newsletters, social media, website, emails, reports, and campaigns.
• Plan, create, and monitor social media content; grow online presence and engagement.
• Maintain and update website content for accuracy and usability.
• Collaborate with leadership to utilize data in communications strategy; support donor campaigns.
• Lead individual giving and outreach campaigns and sponsor materials.
• Manage communications logistics for events, including registrations and materials.
• Draft press materials and coordinate media inquiries; track earned media.
• Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all channels.
• Analyze performance data to improve reach, engagement, and user experience.
• Support fundraising communications and donor stewardship initiatives.
• Perform other duties as needed to meet organizational goals.
