Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Commissioning Agent to join our team remotely in the United States. The role involves commissioning power distribution systems, UPS, BMS, HVAC and related equipment, with up to 75% travel to client sites.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in electrical power distribution or mechanical systems, an AA degree (or equivalent), proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Word and Excel, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Passport required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in electrical power distribution or mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to diagnose and solve construction/operational problems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform design reviews of systems.
• Develop, oversee and write startup and commissioning policies and procedures.
• QA/QC of the equipment installation.
• Perform construction observations and develop functional test plans.
• Execute tests for electrical and mechanical systems per standards.
• Assist in training operations and maintenance personnel.
• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors for problem resolution and testing.
• Review data and prepare technical reports.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and project teams.
• Manage small to mid-size projects to meet client expectations.
