Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Commissioning Agent to join our team remotely in the United States. You will commission critical power and HVAC systems, perform design reviews, develop startup and commissioning procedures, and conduct QA/QC of equipment installations.

The role requires seven years of experience in electrical power distribution or mechanical systems, an AA degree or equivalent, strong written and verbal communication, and willingness to travel up to 75% to client sites.

Qualifications

• 7 years of industry experience in electrical power distribution or mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and solve construction and operational problems.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform design reviews of systems.
• Develop, oversee and write startup and commissioning policies and procedures.
• QA/QC of the equipment installation.
• Perform construction observations and develop functional test plans.
• Execute tests for electrical and mechanical systems and ensure conformance to standards.
• Assist in training of plant operations and maintenance personnel.
• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors on problem resolution and testing.
• Review data and prepare technical reports.
• Maintain communication with clients, contractors and project team members.
• Manage small to mid-size projects to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget and schedule.
