Job summary

Globe Life is seeking a Commission Analyst to compute, adjust, and process sales commissions for thousands of agents. You will troubleshoot, answer queries, and audit commission accounts while ensuring accurate pay and timely processing.

You will maintain commission data, support audit requirements, and assist with 1099 questions. A finance or accounting background and experience with compensation tools are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent analytical experience.
• Prior experience with sales compensation calculations and reporting is a plus.
• Background in the insurance industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with compensation tools such as Varicent, Xactly, or SAP Callidus is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with data accuracy, organization, and handling confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High emotional intelligence (EQ) with adaptability and quick learning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain commission database including all data entry and maintenance.
• Ensure accurate and timely payment of commissions.
• Maintain records to support audit requirements.
• Perform audit of commission statements.
• Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly commission processes.
• Explain commission calculations and payouts.
• Analyze disputes and reconcile discrepancies.
• Improve commission processes through deeper understanding of the workflow.
• Assist with 1099 questions and preparation, where applicable.
